Job Description

We are currently seeking a Bachelors prepared nurse with excellent ED skills and a passion for caring for patients that have experienced sexual assault and/or other forms of trauma, and who would like to be supported as a clinical expert in an innovative ED bedside leadership role.
The Emergency Department Forensic Float Pool RN supports the ED patient care needs of four metro hospitals which includes Saint Luke’s Hospital, Saint Luke’s East Hospital, Saint Luke’s South Hospital and Saint Luke’s North Hospital. The Emergency Department Forensic Float Pool RN collaborates within the health system with other specialty care areas regarding all aspects of clinical forensic care, and externally with other forensic programs, appropriate pre-hospital, criminal justice and advocacy personnel.

In collaboration with the Clinical Forensic Medical Director, the Emergency Department Forensic Float Pool RN The Emergency Department Forensic Float Pool RN responds during their shift to provide Clinical Forensic Care Services to patients that present disclosing sexual assault at all entity hospitals, provide mentorship to ED staff on conducting Clinical Forensic Care Services for domestic violence, elder abuse/neglect, child abuse/neglect, assault, and strangulation and provides staffing support to the assigned department.

Qualifications:
• BSN-Required
• KS and MO State RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS required
• Two Years’ Experience
• SANE-A – Preferred but not required
